April Fool's Day was a gorgeous day, perfect for the running of Santiago's sixth marathon. I had met a fellow traveler/runner back in Bolivia who was running the race, so I made it to the end to support her.
I've never seen so many runners wearing the official race shirt during the race. The finish area was a sea of orange!
I'm not convinced this tent was accurately labeled.
The race had maxed out at twenty five thousand runners combined for the full marathon, the half, and a 10k. This was no New York City marathon, nonetheless the atmosphere made me wish I was participating. First thing I'm doing when I get to the states is buying a new pair of much needed running shoes.
